Upright Hedge Parsley is a native annual plant of the UK, typically found growing in woodland edges and hedgerows, to a mature height of up to 150cm.

Upright Hedge Parsely is a tall, erect and branching, sparsely-leaved plant with downy, parsely-like leaves. It has rigid hairy stems and bears white or pink flowers clustered into small umbels.

Botanic classification and naming: Upright Hedge Parsley is a member of the Carrot (Apiaceae) family. The genus name 'Torilis' identifies the plant as a Hedge Parsely and its species name 'japonica' means 'field plant'.

Concerns: Considered an invasive plant in North America.
