annual plant of the UK, typically found growing in water margins and wetlands, to a mature height of up to 30cm.
Wavy Bittercress is named after the way its stems grow with erratic changes of direction, giving it a 'wavy' appearance, and after the taste of its leaves.
Botanic classification and naming: Wavy Bittercress is a member of the Cabbage (Brassicaceae) family. The genus name
'Cardamine' identifies the plant as a Bittercress and its species name 'flexuosa' means 'wavy plant (stem)'.
