Wild Marjoram is a native perennial plant of the UK, typically found growing in grassland and scrubland, to a mature height of up to 60cm.

Wild Marjoram is the genetic 'wild type' of some cultivated varieties of the fresh Marjoram herbs used in cooking.

Botanic classification and naming: Wild Marjoram is a member of the Mint (Lamiaceae) family. The genus name 'Origanum' identifies the plant as a Oregano and its species name 'vulgare' means 'common'.

Benefits: Atttracts a wide range of insects.
